Pixel Copilot 🚗👾

Ever wanted a tiny pixel buddy riding shotgun, judging your driving in real time? Now you've got one.

Stick your phone in the car mount, hit calibrate, and this little pixel-art face will react to everything: it flinches when you brake hard, gets wide-eyed on potholes, squints through curves, and even falls asleep with a little "Zzz..." when you're stuck in traffic going nowhere. Turn on the mic and it starts vibing to whatever's playing on the radio — literally humming along in tune, note by note, pentatonic-style so it never sounds off.

There's a smoothness meter tracking how chill (or unhinged) your driving is, big screen-flash alerts so you feel the "whoa!" moments even out of the corner of your eye, and a session recorder so you can look back and compare your calmest drive against that one time you definitely didn't brake that hard.

No install, no accounts — just open it in your mobile browser and go. Built as a solo pixel-art passion project, equal parts dashboard toy and dumb little companion for long drives.

Best experienced on a phone, mounted somewhere you're not staring at while driving. Please actually watch the road.

Copiloto Pixel 🚗👾

¿Alguna vez quisiste un compañerito pixel art viajando de copiloto, juzgando cómo conduces en tiempo real? Pues ya lo tienes.

Pon el móvil en el soporte del coche, calibra, y esta carita pixelada va a reaccionar a todo: se asusta si frenas fuerte, pone ojos como platos con los baches, entrecierra los ojos en las curvas, y hasta se queda dormida con un "Zzz..." cuando estás parado en un atasco sin ir a ningún sitio. Activa el micro y empieza a seguir el ritmo de lo que suene en la radio — literalmente tarareando nota a nota, en escala pentatónica para que nunca desafine.

Tiene un medidor de suavidad que va marcando si vas tranquilo o descontrolado, avisos de pantalla completa para que notes los sustos aunque no estés mirando de frente, y un grabador de sesiones para comparar tu viaje más zen con esa vez que sí, frenaste bastante fuerte.

Sin instalar nada, sin cuentas — se abre en el navegador del móvil y listo. Un proyecto personal hecho a pixel, mitad juguete de salpicadero, mitad compañerito tonto para los viajes largos.

Mejor experimentado en el móvil, montado en algún sitio donde no tengas que mirarlo fijamente mientras conduces. Por favor, mira la carretera.

Update: smarter bumps, better memory 🛠️

Two solid upgrades since launch:

Session recording — Hit "Start session" before you drive off and the copilot quietly logs how smooth (or chaotic) your trip was. Stop it when you're done and it's saved to your history, where you can compare past drives side by side on a little graph. Perfect for proving to yourself you're actually calming down behind the wheel. Or not.

Smarter pothole detection — The copilot used to get confused if your phone mount wasn't perfectly flat, sometimes missing real bumps or flinching at nothing. Now it calibrates against true gravity instead of just the phone's raw vertical axis, so it reads bumps correctly no matter the angle of your mount. Fewer false alarms, fewer missed potholes.

As always: no install, no accounts, just open it and drive (safely, please).

Actualización: baches más listos, memoria mejor 🛠️

Dos mejoras sólidas desde el lanzamiento:

Grabación de sesiones — Pulsa "Iniciar sesión" antes de salir y el copiloto va apuntando en silencio qué tal de suave (o caótico) fue el trayecto. Detenla al llegar y se guarda en tu historial, donde puedes comparar viajes anteriores lado a lado en una gráfica. Perfecto para demostrarte a ti mismo que te estás relajando al volante. O no.

Detección de baches más lista — Antes el copiloto se hacía un lío si el soporte del móvil no estaba perfectamente plano, y a veces se le escapaban baches reales o saltaba sin motivo. Ahora calibra contra la gravedad real en vez de fiarse solo del eje vertical en crudo del teléfono, así que detecta los baches bien sea cual sea el ángulo del soporte. Menos falsas alarmas, menos baches que se le pasan.
